Nina Winternheimer Dressage

About Nina

Nina Winternheimer grew up in Sweden and has a genuine background in classical dressage. She went through a two-year program at the prestigious Swedish National Stud, Flyinge, where she trained with Richard White and Bo Jena. Also, she is a Swedish certified instructor with a diploma from the Swedish National Riding School, Strömsholm.

Apart from Sweden and the US, Nina has trained horses in Spain, England and Canada.

In 1998 Nina moved to Los Angeles and has since worked successfully as a dressage trainer in the area. She holds the USDF silver and bronze medals. Nina has taken her mare Poeme from scratch to FEI level, the goal for 2009 to keep showing Prix St George with a possible start in Intemediate 1 towards the end of the year. She has also successfully shown clients horses and for example won the 2003 Cornerstone 2nd level Championship on Cathy Sherman’s Dutch mare Miss Marple.

Nina lives in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, with her husband Kevin and their son, Daniel.
